The popular Swiss based financial services providers, Dukascopy has recently posted an urgent warning to its clients of a fake copycat website. The fake site https://dukasaitrades.eu/, is an exact replica of the real Dukascopy site with an intent of making the victims to hand over their login details and other monetary details.
Specifically, Dukascopy described the clone in an official statement as an imitation that has nothing to do with its genuine activity. It has a similar look and feel with the correct domain and can be very dangerous to the individual’s safety.
To avoid falling victim to these scams, Dukascopy advises clients to take several precautionary steps:
– Double-check URLs: To make sure that you are visiting the official website of Dukascopy always type the address on the address bar of your browser or better still bookmark the website.
– Look for security certificates: Make sure that the website address has an HTTPS connection and the web address of the site is not changed.
– Report suspicious activity: In such a case, report it to Dukascopy’s support team or other financial regulatory authorities as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that Dukascopy is already in active cooperation with authorities in relation to this scam, for the protection of their customers. However, users must be careful, because scammers who create fake copies of an app are also widespread.
