Ahmed Negm was recently hired by XS.com, a broker for FX and contracts for differences (CFDs). He will be the Head of Market Research for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This means he will help the company understand and study the market better in those areas. His new role adds strength and knowledge to the company’s team. This is a big step for XS.com as they continue to grow and improve their services.
As per the press announcement provided to Finance Magnates, his responsibility will be to assist the retail and institutional clients of the broker in making better-informed investing choices in various asset classes. Furthermore, he will keep appearing in media outlets in both Arabic and English to represent XS.com and offer market analysis.
“I am eager to bring my expertise and knowledge to the team and help drive the company’s success in the industry,” Negm remarked.
“I am looking forward to collaborating with my new colleagues and using my skills to help support XS.com’s retail, and institutional traders with their investment decisions whilst they navigate the ever-changing market landscape. This is a new chapter, and I am eager to see what the future holds.”
Although XS.com was founded in Australia in 2010, its current headquarters are in Cyprus. With licenses from Australia, Cyprus, and the Seychelles, it provides brokerage services. The company offers liquidity, technology, and other white-label services to institutions in addition to retail counterparty trading.
Within a week after XS.com announced Mohamad Ibrahim’s appointment as Group Chief Executive, Negm was hired.
Negm has ten years of experience in the brokerage sector, having worked for multiple broker brands in the MENA region. He was Head of Research Department at FBS offices in Egypt when he joined XS.com. He spent years in comparable roles at Orbex and One Financial Markets prior to that.
His LinkedIn profile states that he started working in the field in 2012 and that a year later, he started working as a trainer and technical analyst at the Admiral Markets Group offices in Cairo. He also held the position of Chief Market Analyst at Earnex, a Dubai-based company that provides online trading solutions for futures and options.
“Ahmed’s expertise and passion for understanding the intricacies of the financial markets will be invaluable as we continue to grow our client base and expand into new jurisdictions,” Ibrahim, the new CEO of XS.com, said. “I’m confident that through his longstanding industry experience and deep knowledge of the financial markets his addition to the company will bring fresh perspectives and drive our success in the industry.”
